Debub University

Debub University ("South University"), also known as Hawassa University , is a university in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region of Ethiopia . It was established 22 December 1999 as the result of the Council of Ministers Regulation No. 62/1999, which ordered the consolidation of the Awassa College of Agriculture, and the Dilla College of Teachers Education and Health.

It has since upgraded its capabilities, adding new departments, programs and research facilities.
