China, Hechi, Zhuang villages, 2005
These photos come from the Hechi region, in the north of the GuangXi province where the Zhuang live. Their mountains are only 1200m high, but this area is so hard to reach, that the modern life of China arrives here only since a few years. Most roads were built in the year 2003, and many villages have still no road.
