Life in an „underdeveloped“ country has very different qualities to life in a
“developed” country. We think we can judge about its values without
ever experiencing the other side, but that is impossible. Life
in an “underdeveloped” country is less regulated, much more natural,
more human and real than in an “developed” country. And also it
is a way of life that can exist for all people, without destroying
our planet, and without the necessity of an excluded majority of
people who produce the prosperity of the few rich.
Within Life of the “underdeveloped” countries
(and I mean without the few rich in the cities) everything makes
sense, without the need to be convinced about this beforehand through
education. Most of people there never went to school, but still
have a lot of practical knowledge and skills, and they live for
life, family and friends for each other, not for money. Life there
is something very beautiful through its simplicity, and nobody
thinks he would be more important than the others around him. This
way people share all they have with each other, without thinking
that they would not have enough for themselves, because the value
of life comes through being together.
In “developed” countries people think to know
everything better. We think this, because we got a very narrow
thinking through a certain education, which tells us that we have
to live in prosperity to be happy, that we have to consume to identify
ourselves, and that we have to despise life in “underdeveloped”
countries, in the end we live only for money. Our life is based
on having other countries where we exploit and utilize people,
to guarantee our supernatural richness and consumption, because
this richness and consumption is only possible for a minority,
the ressources are not enough for limitless growth, and even then
by this we are destroying our planet through this.
We have to stop demanding the livingstandard of
“developed” countries, to be able to exist in the future and not
end up in a fight or a war of everybody against everybody. This
livingstandard we have makes us blind, or to robots (slaves) of
money. We have to recognise how much more beautiful and real life
is without these livingstandards, and without the fear of loosing
it. The poor in “developed” countries don’t have this, because
they are spoiled by the belief to exist only through consumption.
But where ever the rich people and the misrepresentation of necessities
does not exists, life becomes very beautiful in a natural and simple
way, and there people are much less restricted in their actions,
which are not regulated, people live like they feel, and their
feeling is not false and corrupt, and not egoistic like with us.
For example in Papua even today many people are living in a culture where it
is not about the survival of the individuum, but in their
consciousness it is only important that the family (the village)
survives. They do not have the self centered consciousness
like we have it. They live in houses high up in the tops
of the trees, and eat only what they find in the forest.
If someone comes from another island to them (and even if he
is from the same country), he will be very strange to them,
they do not understands what he wants in their area, or why
he is coming to them. If they do not find food for long time,
then they decide which family member they are going to eat,
and in bad times that could be 8 people within 3 months.
We see this as cannibalism, but is isn't that for them. In
the far future we will see even eating animals as cannibalism,
but now we are not yet able to understand that.
Life or the way of life like it is in “underdeveloped”
countries is our only possible future, not like it was in the past,
but how it is in many or really most of all regions on our planet.
People live from what is available locally, and that is mostly
what oneself or ones neighbours are growing or producing. Technology
does exist though for communication and transport, but it is owned
only as much as necessary, not for status. And money is only enough
around for direct living like Food and sleeping under a roof without
more room than really necessary. And prices for all which is necessary
to live are much much lower, because they are not driven unrealistically
high by greedy rich people like in “developed” countries, so that
it becomes even worthwhile to fly fruits around the world.
This unrealistic lifestyle is created through
the claim (demand) that was created within us, and the quality
of food does not become better through that (for the body), but
only for the imagination. And through our demand we are poisoning
the areas in which “underdeveloped” people live. We say we give
them work and money, but we take from them more than what we give,
and we destroy their livelihood (maybe to make them dependent from
our aberration), their fields are poisoned and are drying up. Our
livingstandard is destroying their life. If we would allow them
to live in their way of life, then most problems in their society
would not exist, like overpopulation and living in slums. Where
ever we did not succeed with influencing people of “underdeveloped”
countries, or make them dependant on us, these problems do not
exist.
We, the “developed” countries are the problem
of our planet, we should start to rethink this definition of development.
Our definition of development is only richness in money and consumption,
but not in humanity and authenticity. And very soon this definition
will become the obviously wrong one through many catastrophes (which
we create). It is not possible without renunciation, and if we
give up, we will discover how much more valuable our life becomes,
because then we are no longer living for money. If we do not renounce
voluntarily, we will be responsible that our world disappears in
chaos and war. Not only climate change (and poisoning the environment
or destroying the forests) will create this desaster, but also
the fight for ressources and cusumers, which on the other hand
will destroy most ways of life on our planet.
In the end our way of life will not be able to
continue, because it is the most unrealistic one of all. We have
to renounce to create something beautiful on our planet, life in
union together without war and endless suffering. We alone can
do this, because it only fails because of our greed and ignorance.
We have to give up our way of life.
